About the Author

Born in Sacramento,California, Rod Murphy was raised there and in the San Francisco East Bay Area. In his youth, he would wander and study the natural habitat of this area which provided inspiration for his writings. He served in the US Navy, working in nuclear power while circumnavigating the globe. After briefly attending Chabot College, he went to work for the federal government in electronics and radio spectrum management. Currently, he lives in northern Virginia.
